Brooke Christa Shields was born May 31 on the 31st of May, 1965. At age 12, she began her career as a model for children. She won critical acclaim for her part in Louis Malle’s 1978 film Pretty Baby (1978). She is the daughter of Teri Shields, model and actress, and Frank Shields, a businessman (1941-2003). The mother of the couple was English, German, Scotch-Irish and Welsh origin, and her father was of English, French, Irish as well as Italian ancestry.According to the research of William Addams Reitwiesner, Shields has ancestral links with several noble families from Italy and, specifically, from Genoa as well as Rome.
