Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin is a Canadian and New Zealand actress. She was born in Winnipeg and born in Wellington Paquin made her acting debut portraying Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 11 which makes her the second youngest winner of the award in Oscar history. Anna Paquin's full name was Anna Helene Paquin. Born on the 24th of July, 1982 on the 24th of July 1982 in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, she was the first Canadian native New Zealand actress. As a child, Paquin won the Academy Award for best support actress. Her performance as the talkative and inquisitive girl of Holly Hunter played in The Piano (1993) brought her the award. Paquin had a small part in the role of Jane Eyre's title character while she was just a young girl as part of Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (1996) and a lead part in the film Fly Away Home (1996). Paquin had a small role in the television movie of 1997 adaption to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. Also, she played queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She played teens on the screen in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
